Terms of Use

Who we are

“Coildex,” “we,” “us,” and “our” refer to the operators of the Coildex app and website. “You” refers to the person using Coildex. “Content” refers to anything you post or submit (reviews, custom routines, notes, photos, messages, etc.).

Eligibility

You must be at least 13 years old to use Coildex. If you are under 18, you may only use Coildex with the permission of a parent or legal guardian. By using Coildex you represent that you meet these requirements.

Your account

You’re responsible for keeping your login credentials secure and for all activity on your account. Let us know at hi@hellogoodday.com if you believe your account has been accessed without your permission.

Your content

You own the content you submit. By posting content in Coildex (product reviews, custom routines, public routine snapshots, style ratings, guide notes, photos, and similar) you grant Coildex a worldwide, non-exclusive, royalty-free license to host, store, display, reproduce, and distribute that content only as necessary to operate the service — for example, showing your shared routine on the public page you generated, or surfacing your product review to other users with matching hair profiles.

We do not sell your content. We do not license it to brands. We do not train third-party AI models on it.

You can delete your content at any time from inside the app. Deleting your account removes your content from our active systems within 30 days (see our Privacy Policy).

Acceptable use

While using Coildex you agree not to:

• Submit false or misleading product reviews, or reviews intended to manipulate ratings.
• Post content that is defamatory, harassing, hateful, obscene, or that infringes another person’s rights.
• Attempt to access another user’s account, scrape the service, or interfere with its normal operation.
• Use Coildex to violate any applicable law or the rights of others.
• Reverse engineer, decompile, or attempt to extract the source code of the app, except to the extent that applicable law expressly permits.

We may remove content that violates these terms, suspend or terminate accounts for repeated or serious violations, and cooperate with lawful requests from authorities when required.

Educational information, not medical advice

Coildex is a hair care companion. The content we surface — ingredient verdicts, hair type guidance, style tension warnings, product recommendations — is educational and based on publicly available information plus community experience. It is not medical, dermatological, or trichological advice, and it is not a substitute for professional consultation with a licensed stylist, cosmetic chemist, dermatologist, or physician.

Coildex does not diagnose, treat, cure, or prevent any condition. If you have a scalp condition, a persistent symptom, a known allergy, or any concern that requires professional judgment, consult an appropriate professional. Do not rely on Coildex to make medical decisions.

Product information & community reviews

Product data (ingredients, categories, images) comes from publicly available sources, brand-provided information, and community contributions. We try to keep it accurate but we can’t guarantee it is complete or current — always read the physical product label before use.

Community reviews reflect individual experiences. A product that worked well for someone with a hair profile similar to yours may still not work for you. Patch-test new products and pay attention to how your hair responds.

Affiliate links

If we enable affiliate links or product partnerships in the future, we’ll disclose that clearly in the app — and turning on those features will never change which products we recommend. Recommendations are based on fit with your hair profile, not on whether a brand pays us.

Our intellectual property

The Coildex app, website, branding, copy, and designs are owned by us or our licensors and are protected by intellectual property laws. We grant you a limited, revocable, non-exclusive, non-transferable license to use Coildex for your personal, non-commercial use. That license doesn’t let you copy, redistribute, or build competing products from our content.

Third-party trademarks & product references

Coildex references hair care products, brands, and styles by name so users can identify them, review them, and build routines around them. All product names, brand names, logos, and trademarks referenced inside Coildex are the property of their respective owners. We use them for identification purposes only, under the doctrine of nominative fair use.

Reference to any product or brand does not imply any affiliation with, sponsorship by, or endorsement from the owner of that mark. If you are a brand or rights-holder and believe a product entry misidentifies your product, misrepresents ingredients, or otherwise needs correction, email us at hi@hellogoodday.com and we will respond promptly.

Ingredient names shown inside Coildex are INCI / regulatory names drawn from public sources (including ingredient lists printed on product packaging and the EU CosIng database). Always read the physical product label before use — the authoritative ingredient list is the one printed on the container.

Copyright complaints & DMCA takedown

We respect intellectual property rights and expect Coildex users to do the same. If you believe that content on Coildex — whether posted by a user, part of a product entry, or in any other part of the service — infringes your copyright, send a written notice to hi@hellogoodday.com that includes all of the following (consistent with 17 U.S.C. § 512(c)(3)):

• Identification of the copyrighted work you claim has been infringed.
• Identification of the material on Coildex that you claim is infringing, with enough detail for us to locate it (a URL or screen name, product ID, or screenshot is helpful).
• Your contact information — name, address, phone number, and email.
• A statement that you have a good-faith belief that the use is not authorized by the copyright owner, its agent, or the law.
• A statement, under penalty of perjury, that the information in the notice is accurate and that you are the copyright owner or authorized to act on the owner’s behalf.
• Your physical or electronic signature.

Incomplete notices may not be actionable. On receipt of a valid notice we will remove or disable access to the claimed material in accordance with applicable law, and we may terminate the accounts of repeat infringers.

Counter-notification. If you believe content of yours was removed in error, you may submit a counter-notification to the same email. Your counter-notification should include: identification of the removed material and where it appeared, a statement under penalty of perjury that you have a good-faith belief the material was removed by mistake or misidentification, your contact information, your consent to the jurisdiction of the federal court in the district where you live (or, if you are outside the United States, any judicial district in which Coildex may be found), and your signature.

Third-party services

Coildex runs on services like Supabase, Apple, and Vercel, and may link to external sites. We’re not responsible for the content, availability, or practices of third-party services. Your use of those services is governed by their own terms.

Disclaimer of warranties

Coildex is provided “as is” and “as available.” To the fullest extent permitted by law, we disclaim all warranties, express or implied, including warranties of merchantability, fitness for a particular purpose, non-infringement, and any warranty that the service will be uninterrupted, error-free, or that any defects will be corrected.

Limitation of liability

To the fullest extent permitted by law, Coildex and its operators, officers, employees, and contractors will not be liable for any indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages, or any loss of profits, data, or goodwill, arising out of or relating to your use of the service — whether based on warranty, contract, tort, or any other legal theory — even if we have been advised of the possibility of such damages.

Our total liability to you for any claim arising out of or relating to Coildex is limited to the greater of (a) the amount you paid us in the 12 months before the claim arose, or (b) US $50.

Some jurisdictions don’t allow certain limitations on liability, so some of the above may not apply to you. In those cases, our liability is limited to the minimum extent permitted by law.

Indemnification

You agree to indemnify and hold harmless Coildex and its operators from any claim, liability, damage, or expense (including reasonable legal fees) arising out of (a) your use of Coildex, (b) your content, or (c) your violation of these terms or any third-party right.

Termination

You can stop using Coildex at any time and delete your account from inside the app. We may suspend or terminate your access if we reasonably believe you’ve violated these terms or put the service, other users, or us at risk. Provisions that by their nature should survive termination (content license you’ve granted, disclaimers, liability limits, indemnification) will survive.

Governing law & disputes

These terms are governed by the laws of the State of Florida, USA, without regard to its conflict-of-laws rules. You and Coildex agree that any dispute arising out of or relating to these terms or the service will be resolved in the state or federal courts located in Florida, and you consent to personal jurisdiction there. Nothing in these terms waives any consumer right that cannot be waived under the laws of your place of residence.

Changes to these terms

We may update these terms as Coildex evolves. When we do, we’ll change the “Last updated” date at the top, and for significant changes we’ll notify you in the app or by email before they take effect. Your continued use of Coildex after an update means you accept the revised terms.
